Jimmie D. Christenson

Jimmie D. Christenson, 70, of Punta Gorda passed away October 25, 2007. He was born April 8, 1937 in Grantsburg, WI to Edwin and Frances (Westring) Christenson. Jimmie served in the US Marines and retired from the US Postal Service. He was a motel owner in Monona, Iowa. Jimmie enjoyed fishing, hunting and golf. He was of the Lutheran faith. Jimmie will be greatly missed by his wife of 8 years, Yelena; daughter, Sara (John) Wagner of Monona, Iowa; sister, Della Frandsen of Princeton, Mn. and Nancy (Ted) Vernon of Punta Gorda; grandchildren, Lindsay, Caleb, Bailey; great-grandchildren Nicklaus and Benjamin. A celebration of Jimmie’s life will be at 2:00 pm, Monday, October 29, 2007 at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services Punta Gorda Chapel.
