Jerry L. Dinnan

Jerry L. Dinnan was the son of Jerry V. and Maxine (Miller) Dinnan, born July 16, 1950 in Flint, Michigan. Jerry was a skilled tradesman for GM for 15 years, retiring in 1996. He moved to North Port, Florida in 1998 from Flint. A heart transplant recipient, Jerry served on the Board of Advisors for Life Link and as the most recent president of the Organ Transplant Recipients of SW FL, Inc. He was also very involved in his church, First Baptist Church of Port Charlotte, as a Sunday School teacher and chairman of deacons, and as a chaplain for TideWell Hospice. Jerry was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family and group of close friends. His quick smile and mischievous twinkle in the eyes will not be forgotten. He loved the Lord and he loved people, especially his family and the grandbabies, and poured his life into all those around him. Jerry passed away on July 30, 2009 at the age of 59. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 37 years, Debbie; parents, Jerry and Maxine Dinnan; daughter, Shannon Dinnan; sons, Jerry L. (Stephanie) Dinnan, Jr., Mark Dinnan, Charles Dinnan, and John Dinnan; sisters, Patty (Jack) Hensley, Teresa (Jim) Knight, and Carolyn Dinnan; brothers, Gary (Norma) Dinnan and John (Vicki) Dinnan; 12 grandchildren; and many other special friends.
