Jeffrey Joseph Frey

Jeffrey Joseph Frey, age 60, devoted Husband, Father, and Friend to all entered his heavenly home Monday, August 22, 2022.

Jeff‘s story starts in Columbus, Ohio on July 23, 1962, born to Donald and Mara Frey. Jeff was 1 of 7 children and being from such a large family it is no wonder that he created a much larger family during his time on this earth through his self-sacrificing service work. He graduated from Big Walnut Highschool in Sunbury, Ohio in 1980. Jeff was involved in A Friend of Bill’s for over 30 years and had a gift for helping those that were down and out, the underdogs, and anyone in need. Jeff had a voracious appetite for helping and guiding others; making him a pillar of strength in his family and communities. Jeff loved his family and friends deeply and was a consistent force in creating connections. Jeff moved to Port Charlotte, Florida in 2010 with his adoring wife, Stephanie to escape the Ohio winters, although most would argue it was to text his family in Ohio about the great weather he was having. Jeff passed away unexpectedly while doing what he did best, helping others. He will be remembered for his ornery sense of humor, boisterous laugh, selflessness, humbleness, and undoubtedly his half-missing finger that he proudly used as a butt to his jokes. His presence will be painfully missed but through his impact on those who knew him, his legacy will continue to pay it forward. “ROADHOUSE!”.

Jeff is survived by his loving wife, and partner in crime of 15 years, Stephanie Ann Frey. Children, Jeffrey Joseph (Brittney) Frey II, Desiree (Anthony) Clark, Kristy Taylor, and Jennifer Stein. Grandchildren, Amelia Frey, Jeffrey Joseph Frey III, Anthony Clark, Da’Shan Clark, Amya Clark, Tony Yerian, Alexis Taylor, and Destiny Taylor. Great grandsons, Bentley and Mylo. Siblings, Donald Frey II, Edward Frey, Thomas (Bobbi) Frey, and Daniel Frey as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Jeff is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Mara Frey, sister, Karen Yoder, brother William (Sharon) Frey, and nephew Joseph Frey.

Visiting hours will be held from 1-3 pm followed by the services presented by his beloved father-in-law, John Capo Sunday, August 28, 2022, at Johnson-Taylor Funeral Home, 1515 Tamiami Trail, Punta Gorda Florida, 33950.
