Jean Marie Lauber, 68, of Punta Gorda passed away September 24, 2006. She was born March 4, 1938 in Pequannock, NJ to Fred and Dina (VanLenten) Bailey. Jean was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, crochet, knitting and reading. She loved walks on the beach and her visit to Hawaii. Jean was a loving mother, wife and grandma who enjoyed taking care of her family. She will be greatly missed by her husband of 40 years Robert, Sr; children Debbie (Gary) Cocchio of Pompton Plains, NJ, Bob Lauber Jr of Eatontown, NJ, Stephen Lauber of Stroudburg, PA, Brenda Lyle of Philadelphia, PA and Tom Beck of Rochester, NY; brother Fred Bailey, Jr of Glen Gardner, NJ; sister Martha Albuoy of Little Egg Harbor, NJ; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends 2:00 - 4:00 pm, Wednesday, September 27 at the Punta Gorda Chapel of Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services. A celebration of Jean’s life will be 11:00 am, Thursday, September 28 at the Punta Gorda Chapel of Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services with the burial to follow at Royal Palm Memorial. Memorial donations may be made to Tidewell Hospice and Palliative Care, 1144 Veronica Street, Port Charlotte, FL 33952. To express condolences to the family please sign the online guest book.
