Jason F. Westmoreland, 43, of North Port, FL passed away on March 2, 2020. He was born November 10, 1976, to Brenda and Kenneth in Bartow, FL. He moved to North Port in 2003 and became a member of the First Alliance Church in Port Charlotte.
Jason was a charismatic jokester who cherished every moment with his family and friends. He was a devoted father who doted on his children and treasured all the special times they shared together. Jason was known for his love of sports, especially the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tampa Bay Rays, so much that the term sports fanatic does not accurately describe his dedication. He also enjoyed bowling, golf, fishing and spending time at the beach. In fact, he always made sure to have everything packed in the car just in case an opportunity presented itself. Jason always tinkered around the house making sure he had several projects in motion at once, even cooking for hours on end. He will be remembered for his kindness, giant heart and always being the life of the party.
Jason will be deeply missed by his wife of 16 ½ years Shannon; daughter Kristen (Phil) Westmoreland and stepdaughter Tate Demski; sons Jaysen, Paeten and Brent Westmoreland; brother Scott Westmoreland; sisters Tammy Hallinen, Shannon (Aaron) Bholaramsingh, Natasha (Ryan) Brown and Angel Moreland; and his future grandchild of Kristen and Phil. He was predeceased by his parents Brenda Strong and Kenneth Westmoreland, and brother-in-law Elijah.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 14, 2020, at the First Alliance Church, 20444 Midway Blvd, Port Charlotte, FL.
In lieu of the flowers, the family requests donations to be made in memory of Jason to the Jameis Winston's Dream Forever Foundation.
