Janith Schwarz

Janith Schwarz, 85, of Punta Gorda, FL passed away peacefully on September 20, 2017 with her daughter, Dawn and granddaughter, Heidi by her side. She was born July 22, 1932 in Detroit, MI to Gilbert and Lucille Lindstrom. Janith and her husband moved to Florida in 1970 with their 5 children. She had a career in the hotel business for 25 years and later in real estate here in Punta Gorda. Janith was a very talented lady from her days in Novi, MI with her in home dance studio teaching her own children and neighborhood children tap, ballet to piano lessons. Her hobby and joy here in Punta Gorda was creating beautiful ceramic dolls which her home proudly displayed. For 20 years Janith and her late husband Denis loved decorating their Punta Gorda Isles home for the Christmas light boat cruises. Their home was known as the "Crystal Palace" the house of a thousand white lights as a favorite stop by the King Fisher Cruise line where Janith nightly went out and waved to everyone. She will be greatly missed by her family and all her friends she met at Life Care of Punta Gorda. Janith is survived by her daughters, Dawn Fendick and Dana Schwarz; sons, Dean (Heather) Schwarz, Dale (Penny) Schwarz and Dwayne (Penny) Schwarz; granddaughters, Heidi (Michael) Carstens, Shannon (Tyrone) Telemaco, Jennifer (Robert) Cruz, Stefanie (Jonathan) Brady and Sasha Schwarz, grandson, Dylan Schwarz; great-grandchildren, Brianna and Brian Telemaco, Klya and Kian Brady. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Denis; brother, Gerald Lindstrom and son-in-law, Leo Fendick. A memorial service to celebrate Janith's life will be held at a later date.
