James Thomas Palmer

James Thomas “Jay” Palmer, 39, of Punta Gorda passed away October 28, 2005. He was born June 1, 1966 in Warwick, R.I. to John and Alleine Palmer, Sr. Jay's children were first and foremost his pride, joy and love of his life, which he enjoyed playing board games with them. He was very devoted to his work as a stucco plasterer. Jay was an avid sports fan with interests in fishing, Nascar and football especially the New England Patriots team. He will be remembered best for making everyone laugh and being a prankster. He will be greatly missed by his parents Alleine and John W. Sr, sons James Michael and David Allen; brothers John W. (Cindy) Jr of KY and Jeffrey (Trisha) of N.C.; sister Debra (Barry) Strike of Punta Gorda; significant other Margaret Salter; aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and many friends and colleagues. A gathering of family and friends will be at 10:00 - 11:00 am, Saturday November 5 at the Punta Gorda Chapel of Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services with memorial service in celebration of Jay’s life to follow at 11:00 am. The family requests donations be sent to Larry Taylor Funeral, 1515 Tamiami Trail, Punta Gorda, FL 33950 to help with funeral expenses.
