James Paul ”Jim” Lordi, 78, of Punta Gorda passed away January 31, 2007. He was born August 3, 1928 in Newark, NJ to James and Olympia Lillian (Costanzo) Lordi. Jim serviced in the Navy and USMC during WWII in Okinawa, Guadalcanal and Korea. He was a Special Investigator, Fraud Division for New Jersey Bell before retiring and moving to Florida in 1993. Jim was a member of the International Association of Sea Turtles, Inc, Kiwanis, American Society for Industrial Security and the Telephone Pioneers of America. He was of the catholic faith. Jim will be greatly missed by his wife of 12 years, Shelia F. Lordi and daughter, Linda Lee Lordi of Basking Ridge, NJ. The family will receive friends 5:00 - 7:00 pm, Friday, February 2 at the Punta Gorda Chapel of Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services. A celebration of Jim’s life will be at 9:30 am, Saturday, February 3, 2007 at the Punta Gorda Chapel of Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services with Father Jim Simko officiating.
