James P. Whipple

James "Jim" Whipple, 50 of Punta Gorda and Sandy Pond, NY passed away February 17, 2011 after a short illness at Fawcett Memorial. He was born August 19, 1960 in Binghamton, NY to Robert and Joyce Whipple. Jim worked as a Yard Manager for many years at Whipples Lumber Yards. He volunteered for several community programs with the Congregational United Church of Christ and Lions Club of Punta Gorda. Jim enjoyed reading, golfing, boating and going to the beach. Jim will be greatly missed by his father, Robert E. Whipple of Punta Gorda; brother, Robert G.. (Maureen) of Tunkhannock, PA; sisters, Sharon (David) Youmans and Linda Kamperman both of Loveland, OH and several, nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins. A celebration of Jim's life will be 11:00am, Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at Congregational United Church of Christ, Punta Gorda.
