James L. Warren

James L. "Jim" Warren, 78, of Punta Gorda, a faithful servant to the Lord Jesus Christ, went to be with the Lord on October 26, 2012. He was the son of Harry and Margaret (Bales) Warren, born June 26, 1934 in Piqua, Ohio. Before moving to Florida in 1983, he and Janet owned and operated the Credit Bureau of Miami County for 28 years. After moving to Florida he was semi retired in the real estate field and in retail. Jim was a member of Liberty Community Church, North Port and of Gideons International, Peace River Camp in Charlotte County for 22 years. He was a deacon at First Baptist Church in Troy, Ohio for many years as well as a deacon at First Baptist Church, Punta Gorda. Jim will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 58 years, Janet; sister, Carolyn (Art) Crandell of the Villages; son, Jim II (Sydney) of Smyrna Beach, FL; daughter, Jill (Bruce) Clark of Dupont, Washington; grandchildren, Matthew, Marc, Jessica and great-grandchildren, Nevaeh and Sarah; and nieces and nephews in Ohio and Florida. A memorial service will be at 11:00 am, November 17, 2012 at Liberty Community Church, North Port.
