James A Alpin, 70, of Arcadia, FL passed away July 17, 2013. He was the son of DeVerne and Jennie (Samson) Alpin, born September 10, 1942 in Flint, MI. James lived in Flint and Holly until moving to Arcadia in 1998. He was an electrician for the Holly School District as well as being a full time musician playing lead guitar. James was a member of the Church of Latter Day Saints, and was involved in genealogy research. James will be greatly missed by his wife of 53 years, Carol; daughter, Kim Alpin of Arcadia; sons, Thomas (Jamie) Alpin of Auburn Hills and Scott Alpin of Ft Wayne, IN; sister Louella Whitman of Burton, MI; brother, Dennis (Linda) Alpin of Flint; 9 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be private. Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society/Breast Cancer, 992 Tamiami Trail Unit C-2, Port Charlotte, FL 33953.
