Herman F. Owens

Herman F. Owens, 56, of Punta Gorda passed away October 4, 2008. He was the son of Douglas Owens, Sr and Marie (Hass) Owens, born December 28, 1951 in Key West, FL. Herman moved to Punta Gorda in 1963 from Melbourne, FL and was a batchman and driver for Redi-Mix. He will be remembered as a hard worker who enjoyed watching movies and riding his road bikes. Herman will be greatly missed by his wife of 29 years, Irene Keen Owens; sister, Ruth Ann Allen of Port Charlotte; brothers, Douglas A. Owens, Jr and Fredrick D. (Gail) Owens, both of Port Charlotte; and many nieces and nephews. The service in celebration of Herman's life will be at 3:00 pm Saturday, October 11, 2008 at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services.
