Herbert W. Wilkie

Herbert W. "Herb" Wilkie, age 94, of Port Charlotte, FL passed away Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2015. He was the son of Lena and Herbert T. Wilkie, born January 15, 1921 in Plymouth, MA. Herb served our country as a Machinist in the US Navy during WWII. After serving the Navy, he launched his career as a Manager at Mann Company until his retirement in 1977. He relocated to Port Charlotte with his wife Virginia and enjoyed many hours building their home, gardening and playing softball until the age of 84! Herb will always be in our hearts and remembered as a kind, gentle, and funny guy. He will be greatly missed by all that had the honor to be a part of his life. Herb will be greatly missed by his loving and devoted wife, Virginia "Ginny"; cherished son, Terry (Linda); brother, Earl; grandchildren, Robin and Josh and he is a special "PoPs" to his "Little Girl" Jackie.
