Herbert Allgood, 81, of Port Charlotte passed away February 2, 2006. He was born May 22, 1924 in Arcadia, FL to the late Walter and Emma (Sullivan) Allgood. He moved to Murdock in 1942 and worked as a cowboy with Owen Keene for A.C. Frizzell. Herbert served in the Army Air Corp. during WWII. He worked as a wildlife officer with the Florida Fresh Water Game Commission for 15 years and managed the Cecil Webb Management area, and before retirement worked as a carpenter and craftsman. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Punta and a Mason with the Masonic Lodge of Punta Gorda Herbert will be greatly missed by his wife of 62 years, Betty of Pt. Charlotte; daughters Judy (Tom) Joyner of Jacksonville, FL and Roberta (Marcus) Morse of Arcadia, FL; granddaughters Jennifer (Rick) Caldwell of Jacksonville, FL and Jennilen Morse of Arcadia, FL; grandsons Alex Joyner of Atlanta, GA and Kyle (Jessica) Morse of Cairo, GA and great-grandchildren Tyler, Ciara and Garrett Fogelson of Cario, GA. A memorial service will be at 7:00 p.m., Monday, February 6 at the Punta Gorda Chapel of Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services. To express condolences to the family, please sign the guest book.
