Henry J. “Hank”. Bischoff, Sr., 76, of Port Charlotte passed away May 7, 2006. He was born December 14, 1929 in Jersey City, N.J. to Henry T. And Caroline (Copertino) Bischoff. Hank served in the Army and was of the Lutheran faith. He moved to Port Charlotte in 1974 from Hasbrouck Heights, NJ. Hank worked as a Lithographer until 1974 then owned a bar/restaurant Tradewinds, Captain’s Galley in Pt. Charlotte and as a realtor for Century 21. Hank was a member of the Elks Lodge # 2153, Masonic Lodge and American Legion Post 110. He loved the New York Yankees and enjoyed singing country music especially Johnny Cash and Hank Williams Sr. He will be missed by his fiancee Debbie Chaffin; daughter Mary C. Ness; sons: Hank J. Bischoff, Jr and his wife Sande and Cary J. Bischoff; brother: William Bischoff; grandchildren Jackie, Cary Jr., Chad, Brad, Lauren and Stephanie; great-grandchildren Vanessa and Andrew; his first wife Marie. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters: Edna, Dorothy, Caroline, Mae. A memorial service will be at 2:00 pm, Friday, May 12 at: Elk's Lodge #2153 in Port Charlotte.
