Harry W. Porch

Harry W. Porch, 85, of North Port, FL formerly of Brunswick, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 31, 2012. He was the son of William and Lois (nee Greer) Porch, born on May 20, 1927 in Mt Pleasant, PA. Harry served in the US Navy during WWII. He was a machinist for United Manufacturing and a fireman with Brunswick Volunteer Fire Department. Harry was a member of South Biscayne Baptist Church, North Port, FL. He enjoyed assembling model cars, model trains and using them in his Christmas display. Harry will be greatly missed by his wife of 62 years, Mary Jo; daughter, Patti (Daryl) Drake of North Port; sons, Jack (Kimberly) Porch of Anchorage, AK, William S. Porch of Brunswick, Ohio and Timothy J (Tammi) Porch of North Port; sister, Sally J. Kozma of Sebring, FL; eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, David William. No service is planned at this time. Memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association, P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, Texas 75284.
