Harry “Bud” Mowry, 76, of Fort Myers died July 23, 2009 after a battle with cancer. He was the son of Hal L. and Virginia C. (Erickson) Mowry, born June 7, 1933 in Columbus, OH. He spent most of his childhood years in Miami, FL where he graduated from Miami Edison High School; this was where he met his wife, Pat, and they were married in 1954. Bud served for 20 years as a pilot in the USAF. After his retirement form the Air Force, he moved to Fort Myers where he worked for 15 years as a Code Enforcement Officer for Lee County. He lived in Winter Springs, FL for 15 years before returning to Fort Myers in 2004 due to poor health. Bud loved his wife and family very much, but most of all, he loved Jesus. Bud will be greatly missed by his wife, Pat; sons, Rick B. Mowry of Winter Springs, FL and Pastor Michael D. (Sherese) Mowry of Fort Myers; and two granddaughters, Paytn and Cailyn, who dearly loved their PaPa Buddy. The service in celebration of Bud’s life will be 10:30 am, Saturday, August 1, 2009 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens. To express condolences to the family, please sign the online guest book.
