Harold Jasper White

Harold J. White, 87, of Port Charlotte passed away Sunday, February 5, 2012. He was born September 24, 1924 in Bryan County, GA to Otis and Flossie (Stricklin) White. Harold served in the US Army Troop C 34th Recon Squad at Ft McFerson, GA and retired from the construction field in 2004. He was a member of the Masons, Moose and of the Baptist faith. Harold will be greatly missed by his wife of 55 years, Kathryn; daughters, Cynthia (Ron) McGaffey, Pam (Ken) Phillips, Debby McEwan and Becky White; sons, Mike (Teri) White and Cecil (Dani Jo) White; eleven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Timothy White. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services. A service to celebrate Harold's life will be at 1:00 pm, Thursday, February 9, 2012 at 1st Alliance Church, Port Charlotte.
