Greg Hanlon

July 27, 1960 — June 30, 2018

Gregory Dale Hanlon, 57, of Punta Gorda, Florida, went to be with the Lord on June 30, 2018. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on July 27, 1960. Greg attended Mount Healthy High School in Cincinnati, Ohio and Deer Park High School in Deer Park, Texas. Greg had a passion for the outdoors and he especially loved fishing. His other lifetime passion was listening to music. He was a Fellow Member of the Masonic Lodge when he resided in Texas. He was a licensed HAM Operator, which was also one of his hobbies. In his later years, he developed multiple health issues and thankfully had the assistance of his best friend Buddy, his service dog, to help him along the way. Greg will be deeply missed and know he is in the hands of our Heavenly father. Greg leaves behind his daughter, Christy Hanlon, grandson, Andreyes, and granddaughters, Vivian and Hollie; son, John Elliott (Christina), granddaughters, Sara and Emily; brothers, Steve (Delores), Brock, Gary (Doreen) Hanlon, and Terry Hanlon; sister, Janice Hanlon-Melhorn; many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. His father, Homer Hanlon, his mother Freda Hanlon, and his brother Tom Hanlon, preceded Greg in death. The family suggests, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Peace River Wildlife Center in Punta Gorda, Florida at: https://prwildlife.org/ Once you go to the checkout cart, there is a special instructions form where you can add: Donation in Memory of Greg Hanlon.
