Gene E. Stevens

Gene E. Stevens, 79, of Punta Gorda passed away August 16, 2006. He was born July 31, 1927 in Wauchula, FL to J.T. and Lena (Dunlap) Stevens. Gene served in the US Army and was the former owner of Stevens Saddle Shop in Wauchula and was a salesman for Frito Lay for 17 years. He was a former president of Wauchula Moose Lodge and loved to fish and go crabbing. Gene will be greatly missed by his wife of 35 years, Mary J; son Gene E. Stevens, Jr of Sparks, NV ; step-sons Dennis Miller of Reno, NV and William (Debra) Miller of Orlando, FL; one grandchild and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sons Scott and John Randall. No services are planned at this time. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
