Gary S. Ray

Gary S. Ray, 86, of Punta Gorda, FL, passed away on April 17, 2022. He was born on December 4, 1935, to Dorothy Ray in Reading, PA. Gary was an Electrical Engineer, moving to Punta Gorda in 1992 from Delaware. He was a member of the Mason, Commodore of Burnt Store Isles Boat Club, Officer/Director of Charlotte Harbor Yacht Club, and the Charlotte Harbor CHIC. Gary enjoyed cruising, boating, puzzles, playing games like Rummy Cube, and helping Shirley do everything.

Gary will be deeply missed by his wife of 41 years, Shirley Ray; daughter Kathy (Mark) Carl; granddaughter Trisha Baucher; great-grandchildren Hollie and Jacob Ray-Baucher; brother Paul Adam; and sister Suzy Brown. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Ronald Adam.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made in Gary’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
