Gary S. Janus

Gary S. Janus, 62, of Punta Gorda, FL, formerly of Pittsburgh, PA passed away Sunday, March 24, 2013. He was the son of Chester and Geraldine (nee Voss) Janus, born August 31, 1950 in Dearborn, Michigan. Gary started working at age 17 with his father for Mack Trucks in Cleveland, OH and continued working his way up in the company until he became Parts Manager in Minneapolis and Pennsylvania. He had a passion for history of WWII and made models especially tanks. Gary will be greatly missed by his mother, Geraldine; daughter, Kara (Jared Shields) Janus; sisters, Debbie (John) Cherico and Sue Gauchat and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and brother, David Janus. A private service will be held.
