Gary Proffer

Gary “Rabbit” Proffer, 62, of Port Charlotte passed away July 6, 2006. He was born December 11, 1943 in Buffalo, New York to Clevel and Pauline (Sharp) Proffer. Rabbit served in the Army and was a production coordinator for Nu-Image Claims. He enjoyed riding motorcycles. Rabbit will be greatly missed by his daughter Holly (Chad) Troutman of Saginaw, MI; son Scott Proffer of Saginaw, MI; sister Pam (Gary) Opperman of Vassar, MI; grandchildren Sarah, Anthony, Jacob, Tanner and Gannon. He was preceded in death by his sister Sandra Hecht. A memorial service in celebration of Rabbit’s life will be at 6:00 pm, Thursday, July 13 at the Port Charlotte side of the south bound bridge (Old Sea Horse Marina).
