Gary D. Steele

Gary D. Steele, 69, of Punta Gorda passed away Saturday, August 25, 2012. He was born September 13, 1942 in Swissvale, PA to William and Margaret (Warsing) Steele. Gary served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam Era. He worked as the F.B.O. Manager for Charlotte County Airport Authority. Gary's love in life was flying planes and talking to those who shared his passion, and he enjoyed antiquing. Gary will be greatly missed by his wife, Debby; daughter, Mandy Turnage; step-daughter, Sally (Devin) Gulmy; step-son, Scott (Melissa) Davis; brothers, Larry "Casey" Steele and Mike Steele; sisters, Dorothy "Dottie" Britton and Linda Hendrickson; grandchildren, Kayden, Emily, Miranda, Cole and Kaley. The family will receive friends 5:00 to 7:00 pm, Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services. A funeral service will be at 11:00 am, Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at First Baptist Church, Punta Gorda. Burial will be at Sarasota National VA Cemetery.
