Franklin Earl "Frank" Addison, 64 left this life on July 26, 2013 at 9:45pm. Friends, Family and Hospice care team surrounded him. Frank was a lifelong resident of Punta Gorda, FL. Born on July 15, 1949. He attended Charlotte County Schools and graduated from Charlotte High School in 1967. Frank was a Warrant Officer in the US Army and was Vet of the Vietnam War. He was awarded Purple Hearts and other distinguished honors and flight medals. After returning from Vietnam, Frank started a career in construction with specialty in masonry. He became a licensed general contractor in 1970's. Frank was active in the community and loved the opportunity to help children. Frank was a Pop Warner coach, active supporter of CHS sports and sponsor of numerous youth athletics. A member of Punta Gorda County Club and Kingsway Country Club. Frank enjoyed golf, fishing, gator football, baking for his family and families, sharing a good laugh!!! He is survived by his wife, Judith D. Addison; children, Dee (Aaron) Lefrancois of Punta Gorda, FL and Franklin G. (Aimee) Addison of Tampa, FL; sister, Ellie (Robert) Signori of Lakeville, MA; grandchildren, Ashton and Addyson Lefrancois, Ethan and Averi Addison. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Vera Marie and Franklin Addison of Punta Gorda and brother, Thomas Glynn Addison. Military Honors will be at 9:30 am , Saturday, August 10, 2013 with a celebration of Frank's life to follow at 10 am at Kingsway Country Club, 13625 SW Kingsway Circle, Lake Suzy, FL. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to support two charities close to Frank's huge heart.
