Frank Strollo, 71, of Punta Gorda, FL, formerly of Batavia, NY passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Oct. 28, 2013. He was born May 14, 1942 in Batavia, NY to Ralph and Virginia (Fiore) Strollo. Frank retired from New York State Department of Corrections and was a surviving hostage of the 1971 Prison Attica Uprising. He was a member of the Batavia Golf Club and St. Andrews South Golf Club. Frank was an avid golfer and a proud member of the Rainmaker Golf Group. He enjoyed playing cards with his friends. Frank was a family man, who enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, and loved cooking for family and friends. Frank will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 34 years, Grace; children, Frank J., Christine (Scott) Harris, Michelle (Michael) Perkins, Philip Boss and Luanne Jacobs; brother, Anthony (Kathleen) Strollo; sisters, Florence (Don) Skinner, Mary Ann Strollo, Dolores (Michael) Fee; grandchildren, Frank, Anthony, Ethan, Mason, Zachary, Hannah, Kaleigh, Taylor and Jenna and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. A gathering of family and friends will be held at St. Andrews South Golf Club on Sunday, November 3, 2013 from 3:30 to 5:30pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Vincent DePaul, Punta Gorda Fire & Rescue or the Punta Gorda Police Dept.
