Francis S. Yanac

Francis S. Yanac, 84, of Punta Gorda, FL passed away on October 12, 2019. He was born on October 7, 1935, to John and Emily Yanac in Hazleton, PA.

Francis honorably served in the U.S. Army and as a volunteer firefighter for the New Market Fire Department for several years. He worked as an Engineer for the National Starch and Chemical Company prior to moving to Florida in 1997. He loved fishing, boating, bowling, and football, creating a family tradition of watching Sunday football games together. Francis was kind, sweet, always giving and thinking of others. He was a true family man.

Francis will be deeply missed by his wife of 61 years, Doris; daughters Denee Rizzo and Darcel Yanac; grandchildren Cara and Andrew; and 5 great-grandchildren.
