Flounoy N. Gilbert, Sr.

Flounoy N. Gilbert, Sr., 75, of Punta Gorda, FL passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2013. He was the son of Walter and Lillie (nee Fulcher) Gilbert, born April 6, 1938 in Fort Myers, FL. Flounoy was a native of SW Florida and was a retired dry wall contractor. He enjoyed fishing, music and going to church. Flounoy will be greatly missed by his wife of 56 years, Joan; daughters, Selina (Billy) Kuykendall, Joan Marie Gilbert both of Punta Gorda, Veronica (Rick) Williams of Zephyrhills, FL; son, Flounoy Gilbert, Jr. of Punta Gorda; brothers, Arthur of Alva and Lavon of Lehigh Acres, FL; sisters, Luceile Williams, Jean Horne and Shirley Case all of Fort Myers, FL; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. A visitation will be 11:00 to 12:00 Monday, April 15, 2013 at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services with a service to celebrate Flounoy's life to follow at 12:00 pm.
