Faustin A. 'Bob' Golubinski, 68, longtime resident of Englewood passed away on February 23, 2007. He was born September 22, 1938 in New York City and was raised in both New York and Fall River, MA. After a stint in the US Army, he settled in Stamford, CT where he met and married Helen Mary Bosses. The moved to Florida in the 1980's after retiring from the Southern New England Telephone Company, and established their own real estate business in Englewood. Bob was a gifted artist and craftsman, and enjoyed spending time restoring religious statues at St Rafael Church in Englewood where he was a member. He also enjoyed restoring and refinishing antique furniture. Bob recently fulfilled a lifelong ambition performing on harmonica with the band, 'Musical Memories.' 1. Bob will be greatly missed by his fiancee, Linda Lawson of Port Charlotte; sister, Christine Meissner of Tucson, AZ; brothers, Stanley Golubinski of Brooklyn, NY and John Golubinski of St Augustine, FL; and nephew, Drew Meissner of Tucson, AZ. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen, in 1998. A memorial service in celebration of Bob’s life will be at 1:00 pm Saturday, March 3, 2007 at the Punta Gorda Chapel of Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services.
