Eugene "Gene" Anderson was born in Pennsylvania on August 1, 1932. He lived an adventurous quality full life till the age of 81. His dad Earnest was a hard working coal miner and his mother Pauline (nee Heubecka) Anderson had Gene's sister Linda after they moved to Furndale, Michigan. Gene joined the Navy performing radar duties during the Korean Conflict serving on the Destroyer DD780 U.S.S. Stormes that allowed him to travel the world. After service he returned to Michigan and married Nancy (nee Evans) Anderson. He graduated from Wayne State University, they had two kids, James and Terry. The Bendix Company offered Gene a new position in Windsor Locks, Connecticut so he moved his family and lived next to Bradley International Airport. He took on the opportunity and learn to fly and his hard work progressed to instrument rating and he flew a light plane all over the country. He and Nancy retired to Punta Gorda, FL. They enjoyed golfing, boating, swimming, arts and friends from the many clubs they helped be a part of. In lieu of flowers make a TOAST to Gene, He would like that!
