Etheline A. Smith

Etheline A. Smith, 98, of Punta Gorda passed away December 11, 2005. She was born June 5, 1907 in Jamaica to the late Daniel and Elizabeth Record. Etheline grew up in Panama and worked in the fields for forty years and cared for the elderly. She was a very caring and loving mother, grandmother and wife who had a very up beat personality and will be dearly missed. Her family was the center of her life all the way to the end. Etholine will be greatly missed by her children Eglantine Biggs, Cleo Bonner, Bertrum Smith, Daniel Smith, Theodore Smith, Etheline Smith, Elmanda Smith and Cleaburgh Smith; forty-five grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five of her children. The family will receive friends between 10:00 - 11:00 am, Wednesday, December 21 with a service in celebration of Etheline’s life to follow at 11:00 am at the Punta Gorda Chapel of Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services Punta Gorda Chapel.
