Eloise Steele Rinehart, 84, of South Fort Myers passed away August 16, 2017. She was the daughter of Younge and Louise Steele born on October 1, 1932 in East Lynn, WV; Eloise was the first of their 16 children. She came to Punta Gorda in 1968 and was a nurse at Charlotte Regional Medical Center (now Bayfront Punta Gorda) for many years. Afterwards, she was a private duty nurse for oncology patients. Eloise was a very active member of the Order of the Eastern Star, most recently with Fort Myers Chapter 31 after their consolidation with the Punta Gorda Chapter; and was a member of Estero United Methodist Church. Eloise will be remembered as a wonderful cook, and for her prolific green thumb in raising roses and orchids. Eloise will be greatly missed by her daughters, Barbara Stewart and Sarah (Larry) Pope; ten grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and her five remaining brothers and six remaining sisters. She was preceded in death by her son, Albert. A graveside service will be held at 10am, Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens, Punta Gorda, FL.
