Ellen Hamilton Lojinger

Ellen Hamilton Lojinger, 96, went home to her Lord on July 2, 2012. She was the only child born to Oscar Burnau and Ida Walter Hamilton on June 30, 1916 in Indianapolis, Indiana. She graduated from Butler University with a B.A. in English and was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority for 75 years. On May 9, 1942, she married Michael Herbert Lojinger and became a permanent resident of Florida, spending 38 years in Miami, 24 years in Naples and finally 8 years in Port Charlotte at South Port Square. Ellen was a loving wife, mother of two daughters, volunteer, and philanthropist of many worthwhile organizations including, Kappa Alpha Theta Foundation, Children's Museum of Indianapolis and the Girl Scouts of Gulf Coast Florida, Inc. Ellen enjoyed her years with her husband and girls sport fishing and sharing times with family and friends. She was avid bridge player her entire life. Ellen was blessed to have and is survived by her daughters, Sue Ellen, Linda and son in law, Michael Thomas Ezzell, three grand children, Michael Thomas Ezzell II (Melissa), Kristin Ezzell Abramowski (Fred), and Jennifer Ezzell Lee, six great-grand children, Mason Ross Ezzell, Sawyer Hamilton Ezzell, Levi Michael Ezzell, Paige Ellen Abramowski, John Michael Lee, and Byron Alexander Lee. Another great- granddaughter will be born in July. She was predeceased by her loving husband Mike in 1974. At Ellen's request, there will be no service and donations be made in her name to Kappa Alpha Theta Foundation, 8740 Founders Road, Indianapolis, Indiana 46268 or the Children's Museum of Indianapolis, 3000 N.
