Ella B. Davis, 90, of Port Charlotte, FL passed away Dec. 4, 2017. She was the daughter of William and Jennie VanDuinen, born on January 27, 1927 in Georgetown Township in Ottawa County, Michigan. Ella was a stay-at-home mom for many years until she was employed as a Data Entry Clerk. She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and volunteered at Adventist Community Services. Ella enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, word search, knitting afghans, and she loved her Christian TV programs, especially Doug Batchelor. She also loved having her dog companion "Gizzy" watching over her. Ella will be greatly missed by her daughters, Cheryl (Ron) Barber and Carol (Ron) Strack; sons, Gary (Debbie) Davis and Greg (Karen) Davis; grandchildren, Kevin, Randy, Bryan, Toni, Ronni, Preston, Andy, Nina, Matthew, Jacob, Scotty and Bethann and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth L. Davis and siblings, Myrtle, Gertrude, Enos, Jay, Claude and Don. A memorial service will be held at 3pm, Saturday, January 6, 2018 at the Seventh-day Adventist Church on Loveland Blvd. Memorial donations may be made to Adventist Community Services in Ellas memory.
