Elizabeth "Ruth" Seward

Elizabeth "Ruth" Seward, 89, of Port Charlotte, FL passed away December 28, 2016. She was born March 19, 1927 in Cloquet, MN to Omri and Glennie Skagerberg. Ruth met her husband, Edward in New York and raised their family in Long Island. She worked as a personnel clerk in education before retiring. Ruth moved from Levittown, New York to this area in 1992. She was an active member at First Presbyterian Church, Port Charlotte and in various church activities including the women's circle and choir. She was a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity. Ruth will be greatly missed by her son, Bill (Denise) Seward; daughter, Judy Lilly; grandchildren, LaNika and James; and great-grandchild, Carter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; brothers, Glen Skagerberg and Albert Skagerberg. No service is planned at this time.
