Elizabeth J. Magee

Elizabeth Jeanne Glawe-Rice-Magee 81, of Punta Gorda, Florida, passed away at the Tidewell Hospice in Port Charlotte, FL Sunday, August 29, 2010. Born March 24, 1929, Betty, originally from the Fisher, Illinois area, was a retired housewife and enjoyed painting, boating, and exercise class with local friends. She was an active volunteer at a shop in the Punta Gorda Visual Arts Center. Her paintings decorate the walls in homes of many friends and family members and self-designed Christmas cards of local settings and subjects were a joy to receive each year. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her including her 2nd husband of 25 years, John; brother Lloyd Glawe of Monroe, LA, daughter Robin Davis of Champaign, IL, sons Rusty Rice of Holly Springs, NC and Rich Rice of Morgan Hill, CA, grandchildren Nicole, Miranda, Rebeka, Kendra, and great grandchildren Emily and Chey.
