Elizabeth Cooper Denson, 81, of Punta Gorda, Florida, passed away February 23, 2007. She was born April 17, 1925 in Rock Hill, South Carolina, the daughter of Marvin and Willie Webb. She moved from Charlotte, NC to Punta Gorda, FL in 1978. Elizabeth was a very active member of the First Baptist Church of Port Charlotte, FL. She sang in the church choir and served on numerous committees. Elizabeth will be greatly missed by daughter, Ann (Randy) Ahrens of Punta Gorda, FL; sons, Craig (Tony) Cooper of Cary, NC, Wayne Cooper of Charlotte, NC, and Tim (Cathy) Helms of Surfside Beach, SC; 8 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband, Ernest “Denny” Denson. The family will receive friends from 10am to 11am, Tuesday, February 27, 2007, at the First Baptist Church of Port Charlotte, FL, with the service in celebration of Elizabeths life beginning at 11am. The family requests memorial donations be made to TideWell Hospice, 1144 Veronica Street, Port Charlotte, FL 33952; or to First Baptist Church, 20035 Quesada Ave., Port Charlotte, FL 33952.
