Edward William John Salmen

Edward William J Salmen, 76, of Punta Gorda passed away December 14, 2006. He was born April 25, 1930 to Harold and Rosaline (Robinson) Salmen. Edward served in the US Navy Reserves and worked in insurance sales for American National Insurance for 15 years before retiring. He moved from Detroit, Michigan to Punta Gorda twenty years ago. Edward was a member of the Eagle Scouts. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, shooting pool and was an avid gardener. Edward will be greatly missed by his wife of 56 years, Olive A; daughters, Sallyann Bride Keane of Port Charlotte and Suzanne Beth Barbier of MI; sons, Michael James Salmen, Patrick Russel Salmen both of Michigan and William John Salmen of Punta Gorda; brother, Harold Michael Salmen of California; 18 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
