Edward W. Blomquist, 90, of Punta Gorda, FL passed away November 17, 2016. He was the son of Adolph and Amy Blomquist, born May 4, 1926 in Jersey City, NJ. Ed worked for many years at the Bergen Co. Justice Center, and retired as Senior Mail Clerk. He was very involved as a 32nd Degree Mason, and was Past Master of the William F. Burk Lodge 230; he had also been a Boy Scout leader. An avid fisherman, Ed fished "every body of water" from Canada to Mexico. Ed will be greatly missed by his wife of 10 years, Barbara; special daughter, Diane (Stephen) Lynn; and sister-in-law, Louise (Robert) Raczynski. He was preceded in death by his parents, and first wife of 37 years, Mildred. The funeral mass in celebration of Ed's life will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 25, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Punta Gorda, FL.
