Edward "Ted" Jaycox

Edward (Ted) Jaycox, 87, of Punta Gorda, Florida passed away peacefully on Friday, September 21, 2018. He was born June 26, 1931 in Westerville, Ohio to Homer and Zelfa Jaycox. Ted worked as a Maintenance Executive at Standard Oil (BP) and was a Charter Member of the Orange Township Fire Department in Delaware County, Ohio. He was also a faithful member of the 1st United Methodist Church of Punta Gorda. Ted was an avid golfer who was dedicated to his friends and family members and was constantly giving to others. He was known to spend his time going to eat with friends, usually at Elenas Restaurant. Those who knew him also knew how much he loved his friends, family and his dog Miss Boomer, who is being cared for by a friend. He was preceded in death by his daughter; Jennifer, his brother; Raymond, and his wife, Beverly. Ted will be greatly missed by his son; Thomas (Debbie) Jaycox, grandchildren; Callie and Ben Jaycox, Jennell Panella, as well as his two great-grandchildren. A service in celebration of Teds life will be held at 2:00pm, Thursday September 27, 2018 at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services, 1515 Tamiami Trail, Punta Gorda, FL 33950. Ohio Service will be held 1:30pm to 2:30pm, Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Berlin Presbyterian Church, Lewis Center, Ohio.
