Edward T Knorr, Sr., 80, of Punta Gorda passed away Sunday, February 19, 2012. He was the son of Alfred and Cecelia (Hynes) Knorr, born February 20, 1931 in Elizabeth, N.J. Ed served in the US Army during the Korean War. He worked in the Sales Office at Lakewood Village and Electro Plater in Mamaroneck, NY and moved to Punta Gorda from Riverdale, NJ in 1988. He enjoyed bowling, reading and was a former youth sports coach in Bricktown, NJ. Ed will be greatly missed by his wife of 37 years, Phyllis; daughters, Janice Knorr of Bricktown, NJ and Lisa (Glenn) Frankel of Wasilla, AK; sons, Edward Knorr, Jr of Bricktown, NJ, Thomas (Terry) Knorr of Lenexa, KS, Glenn Dispoto of Dania Beach, FL, Mark (Victoria) Dispoto of North Port, FL and Gregg (Diane) Dispoto of Jacksonville, FL; 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. A memorial mass will be at 11:00 am, Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Memorial donations may be made to TideWell Hospice, Inc., 1144 Veronica Street, FL 33952.
