Edward A. Mackert

Edward A. Mackert, 67, of Port Charlotte passed away August 17, 2006. He was born June 18, 1939 in Elgin, IL to Arnold J and Agnes M (Wilson) Mackert. Ed came to Port Charlotte in 1971 from Illinois. He served in the US Marines, then worked as an operating engineer in construction before retiring. He was of the Catholic faith. Ed will be greatly missed by his wife of 30 years, Peggy; and sisters, Marge Piechowiak of Sarasota and Jean Franceschina of Seattle, WA. The service in celebration of Ed’s life will be 10:00 am Friday, September 1, 2006 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 5265 Placida Road, Englewood.
