Edna M. Sanders

Edna M. Sanders, 84, of Port Charlotte passed away March 19, 2011. She was born May 9, 1926 to Coy and Allie (Ray) Sanders. She worked for many years at Martin Memorial Hospital until retirement.. Edna was a strong inspiring woman who's passion in nursing showed while caring for the sick. Edna loved and served the Lord with all her heart. She loved being a mother and grandmother who cherished her family. Edna enjoyed watching her children play sports, wrestling and collected frogs. She was a member of Harvest Baptist Church in Murdock. Edna will be greatly missed by her children, Linda Armstrong, Kent (Vicky) Armstrong, Cathy (Glenn) Armstrong-Coderre, Apryl (Scott) Laraway, Melony Borders and Julie Whidden; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. A memorial service in celebration of Edna's life will be at 7:00 pm, Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services.
