Edith Cain

Edith P. Cain, 93, of Port Charlotte, FL passed away May 31, 2017. She was born May 22, 1924 in Hartford, CT. to Mack and Alice Archer. Edith retired from the Dept. of Motor Vehicles in CT. She was a member of the Eastern Star Adah Chapter #22, Jazz Club, IUOE Retiree's Club and First Baptist Church in Port Charlotte. She will be greatly missed by her daughters, Elizabeth Loretta Jones and Dolores Weld; son, Sherman Cain; sister, Gladys Johnson; 6 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and dear friend, Winnie. Edith was preceded in death by her husband, William Lawrence; brothers, Alfred and Henry and sisters, Cylvia and Pauline. The family will receive friends from 11 to 1pm, Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services.
