Doyle D. Thompson

Doyle Thompson, 86, of Punta Gorda Isles, FL passed away Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013. He was the son of Dodge and Evelyn R. (nee Brinkley) Thompson, born on January 24, 1927 in Banner Elk, North Carolina. Doyle served in the US Navy during WWII. He retired in 1991 from "The Weather Channel" as the V.P. of Engineering. Doyle will be greatly missed by his wife, Betty; daughter, Kathy Andrews; son, Skipper Thompson; grandchildren, J. (Kristy) Andrews, Kelly (Bob) Powers; great-grandchildren, Grace Andrews, Orion and Aiden Powers. A service to celebrate Doyle's life will be private.
