Douglas T. Staunton

Douglas T."Doug" Staunton, 58, of Cape Coral, FL passed away September 24, 2016 after a brief illness. He was the son of Albert and Elizabeth Staunton, born April 2, 1958 in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Doug grew up in Mountainside, New Jersey and graduated from Regional High School. He attended Penn State University. Doug worked as a truck driver for Gibson Tube Company and FedEx while living in New Jersey. Doug loved going boating, fishing and crabbing; and when he returned from the excursion all were invited to a crab boil (Party-time). He moved from Roselle, New York to Florida 12 years ago. Doug will be greatly missed by his father, Albert Staunton; brother, Allan (Lauren) Staunton; nephews, Jack and Jesse; aunt, Barbara (Billy) Chang and cousin, Bradford. He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Staunton in 2013 and brother, Christopher, who died on September 15, 2016. A memorial service to celebrate Doug life will be held at 11am, Saturday, October 8, 2016. Memorial donations may be made to Salvation Army or VFW.
