Douglas C. Harris

Doug Harris, 72, of Punta Gorda, formerly of Ontario Canada passed away Thursday, April 12, 2012 in Palm Harbor, FL. He was the son of William and Marie (Carpenter) Harris, born October 4, 1939 in Canada. Doug was the former owner of Goodtimes I & II and Aqui Esta Liquor Store, Punta Gorda. He was a member of the Moose Lodge #1693, Cleveland, FL. Doug enjoyed watching NASCAR, looking at cars and the companion of his seeing eye dog Pearl. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 45 years, Donna; daughters, Lisa (Mark) Lamb of Punta Gorda, Debbie (Rob) Karholz of B.C., Canada and Cherie Harris of B.C, Canada; sons, Brian (Glenda) Harris, Douglas Harris II both of Punta Gorda, Frank (Jeanette) Skubic of Toronto, Canada; brother, Harvey (Brenda) of Canada; sister, Donna (Steve) Hill of Canada; grandchildren, Doug III, Derrick, Kayla, Crystal, Todd, Adam, Mike, Sabrina, Nick, Jessi and Amanda and many great-grandchildren. Doug was preceded in death by his brother, Ron and grandson, Glen A visitation will be 2 to 3:30, Wednesday, April 18, 2012 with a celebration of Doug's life to follow at 3:30pm at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services.
