Dorothy S. Wixted

Dorothy S. Wixted, 83, of Port Charlotte, FL, formerly of Danbury, CT passed away Thursday, April 4, 2013. She was the daughter of Clayton and Mildred (nee Webb) Somers, born June 13, 1929 in Bethel, CT. Dorothy retired from Tidewell Hospice, Inc formerly Hospice of SW Florida and volunteered at the Cultural Center of Charlotte County. She will be greatly missed by her son, Jim (Kathy) Bailey of Eagle, Idaho; daughter Lisa Bailey (John) Rogol of Framingham, Massachusetts; grandchildren, Heather Bailey, Sarah Bailey and James Rogol; great grandchildren, Castor Bailey, Pollux Bailey and Isaac McDaniel. Dorothy was preceded in death by grandchild, Robyn Bailey McDaniel. A memorial service will be held 2:00pm, Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Cultural Center of Charlotte County, 2280 Aaron Street, Port Charlotte, FL 33952.
