Dorothy M. Weidner

Dorothy M. Weidner, 82, of Punta Gorda, FL formerly of Honesdale, PA passed away Friday, June 20, 2014. She was the daughter of John and Gertrude Cox, born on March 9, 1932 in Trenton, NJ. Dorothy was a retired pediatric nurse and nursing instructor. She enjoyed doing art, knitting, drawing and watching sports and was a New York Yankees and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Dorothy will be greatly missed by her daughter, Carolyn Duley of Punta Gorda, FL; sons, Peter (Shelley) Weidner of New Orleans, LA and Tom Weidner of Sarasota, FL; brother, Fred (Dot) Cox of Hamilton Township, N.J.; sisters, Kathryn Cox of Hightstown, NJ, Miriam Miller of Hemet, CA and Sally Gervasi of Rochester, N.H.; 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, John J. Weidner. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Honesdale.
