Dorothy "Dottie" A. Marx

Dorothy "Dottie" A. Marx, 75, of Punta Gorda, FL passed away Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013. She was the daughter of Charles and Mary Dempster, born June 30, 1937 in Chicago, IL. When Walmart first opened their doors on Kings Highway Dottie's smile was always there to welcome you. She made many friends over the years and was even awarded "Employee of the Month". Dottie was a member of the Ladies American Legion Auxiliary and enjoyed fishing, shopping and gathering with her friends. Dottie will be greatly missed by her son, John Jr., daughter, Cherie; brother, Marty Dempster; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Griffith; grandchildren, Danielle and Matthew; many nieces and her wonderful group of friends and especially her beloved friends, Gloria and Vic Caputo. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John R. Marx and sister-in-law, Sharon. A memorial service will be at 1:00 pm, Thursday, February 28, 2013 at the American Legion Post 103, 2101 Taylor Rd, Punta Gorda.
